Staying the COURSE.....

First off, thanks for all the input.

For the record Matt and I think both the original plan and the plan to stay on Okracoke an extra night have their pros and cons....

At this point we are staying the course... we will stay on the island one night and head to Wilmington the following day (Saturday). We are staying the course primarily because we feel like that is the "right" thing to do.... public opinion was mixed.... Wilmington was GOOD to us last year and the bar where the after-party is planned has been GOOD to us....

Matt and I are very proud of the run we are putting on. We are stoked on the fact that the reaction to the run has been so great. We are putting the run on to get out, ride, see old friends, make new friends and generally have as much fun as we can manage on motorcycles..... in that vein, we want to allow EVERYONE possible to get involved and go along.... that is the reason we thought of the potential change.

Matt and I work hard to put the Revenge Run on. We do it at on our own time and don't expect anything in return. As lame as it sounds, our reward is seeing that everyone that goes on the run has a blast.

We have heard from a lot of people on the potential change.... a lot of you have been either stoked on the idea or at least flexible, but we understand that we can't please all the people all the time. And believe it or not we especially appreciate the comments from those not stoked on the idea of a change in plans - at least most of the comments.... HOWEVER, what we don't appreciate, nor want, are the few who feel like this issue has opened up the door for them to show their "intellectual prowess" by teaching us a lesson in run planning and those who have taken the opportunity to answer our question with a bevy of confrontational snide remarks.... bottom line is if you're gonna be an asshole you don't need to be on the run. The vibe of the run is fun and carefree.... if you are bringing anything but that vibe with you, YOU ARE NOT WELCOME. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive but I am not into asking a legitimate question with the purpose of making the run accessible to more people and being met with condescending dousche remarks and emails (and before you get yourself off on a tangent I am fine with criticism as long as it is constructive in nature)..... so, if you want your cash back let me know. There are a couple who are gonna get refunds from us without asking - don't be mad, we just aren't into babysitting idiots nor listening to your unfounded and baseless criticism.

Thanks for your time and now, let the festivities continue!

Yo Tim you guys fuckin killed it last year and I'm sure that there will be no need to lower my expectations of this year. Either way it is a good excuse to split some lanes, drink some good spirits and hang with a bunch of good people. FTW and Thanks for what you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After reading your proposal for a change so that more people could join the fun, I was excited. Two days of bikers, scantily clad women, the beach, bonfires, damn how could anyone complain about that. But people can get anal when there is any slight change in the plan. A total oxymoron to the biker lifestyle in my opinion. This is my first real run in 30 years, so I am psyched and game for anything. You guys are the greatest for organizing it.
