Revenge Run 4 is booked solid!

All of the camping spots/passes we had for sale are gone at this point. We are stoked that so many people signed up and can't wait to hit the outer banks again! Stay tuned, as we'll be posting all of the sponsors raffle swag as it comes in...

Just to be clear...

It seems somebody is unhappy with the fact that everything in life is not free. As most of you already know, Tim and I have been putting this run on for 4 years, and have always done it because it is fun...not for any other reason. We have to limit spots due to our limitations with the campgrounds and ferries. This sucks, but it's something we've dealt with every year. Carl here seems to think we're con artists (his original comment is on the blog post below this one) because we can't put on this entire thing for free. So here you go Carl...here's your 15 minutes of fame, and a breakdown of our ticket costs (which you claimed to have verified, so you should already know this information). A camp spot on Ocracoke Island is $23 per night, and will accomodate 2 bikes only (their rule, not ours). This means it's $11.50 per night, per person. So for 2 nights, it's $23 per person. We are not doing the long ferry this year, and the short one is free. Our base ticket price is $29, so $23 of this goes directly to the campground. The other $6 goes towards the other goodies we give you in that package, including but not limited to stickers, can koozies, patches, etc... If there is any money left after that, it goes into the gas tanks of the several chase trucks that keep everybody running and having a good time. Anybody that doesn't agree with this way of doing things, doesn't have to come. You won't hurt our feelings one bit...

Revenge Run 4 Confirmed Details...

It's all set! Tickets will be for sale this week, and we'll announce that on all of our sites, as well as Facebook and Instagram when they're available. This year we had to change things up a bit in terms of the route, as the Outer Banks saw several storms in 2012 that did some significant damage to the roads and businesses there. As a result, we will NOT be able to take the long ferry from Ocracoke Island to Cedar Island, which is how we usually get to Wilmington for the end of the run party. INSTEAD, we will be spending 2 nights on the island, and ending it there. The first night on the island will be chill, with the second night being our rowdy run ending party. Both nights we'll have bonfires, booze, and good company. Saturday will be spent doing whatever you please...more riding up the Outer Banks, exploring Ocracoke Island, checking out the various lighthouses along the coast, touring the Blackbeard museum, etc... Please see the ROUTE page for more details regarding the route and activities. Yes, the dates have been chosen, but no, we are not selling passes yet. There are still some details to work out. As usual, I will keep you updated, and the minute passes are available to purchase, it will be posted here. Additionally, we cannot pre-sell any passes, so please stop emailing me about it...hahaha. RR3 Recap Number One...

This was the best year ever for the Revenge Run! Great bikes, great friends old and new, great scenery, and great weather (until Sunday)! Tim and I can't thank everybody who came out enough, as well as all of our supporters. I believe we had about 120-130 bikes in total. We had very minimal break downs this year, and stayed on schedule the entire run. Additionally, we were treated to some awesome BBQ and hospitality at the end of the run by the Black Sheep Misfits, at their compund in Jacksonville, which was so fun, we didn't even go into Wilmington. We hung out there, ate some great food, drank beer, and wrenched on some bikes. Thanks Dave, Tam, and Shoprag!

Pictures are starting to flow in to us here at the Death Science Lab, so we will be posting them as they come. These were all shot by Josh Hoffman, who did an incredible job! Thanks Josh! Also, there is a good article already posted on The Lost Highways blog, so check it out too.

The run is all about fun and motorcycles and new and old friends..... There are very few rules..... BUT.... One thing we have to do is LEAVE ON TIME.....
